TRIPTYCH INFORMATION - For Caregivers
This project recognises how valuable nonverbal activities like art and music can be for people living with PPA. Many individuals find these activities provide comfort, enjoyment and a way to express themselves when language is challenging.
People with PPA and their family members from the charity Dyscover worked alongside artist William Lindley and researcher Dr Chris Hardy to create Triptych, an evolving audiovisual artwork. Through workshops and shared reflection, the project highlights lived experience and offers new ways to understand how PPA affects identity, communication and connection.
The title refers to the three types of PPA and to the three groups who worked together to create the artwork: people living with PPA, researchers, and artists.
