TRIPTYCH INFORMATION - For Members of the Public

Primary progressive aphasia (PPA) is a rare form of dementia that affects speech and language. It typically affects people younger than 65 years old.

This project brings together researchers, artists and people living with PPA to explore how creativity can communicate experiences that are hard to put into words.

Artist William Lindley and Dr Chris Hardy collaborated with people with PPA in a series of workshops to create an audiovisual artwork called Triptych.

The piece reflects the three main types of PPA and the shared contributions of lived experience, research and art. The artwork will continue to evolve as more voices and perspectives are added. The title refers to the three types of PPA and to the three groups who worked together to create the artwork: people living with PPA, researchers, and artists.
